Google Trends: Most Misspelled Word in Wisconsin is ‘Wisconsin’

 

People in Wisconsin cannot spell the name of their own state, according to new data released by Google.

In honor of the 2017 Scripps National Spelling Bee, Google Trends collected data and mapped the top “how to spell” searches in every state across the U.S.

 

In Wisconsin the top result happened to be “how to spell Wisconsin.”

Minnesotans have difficulties spelling ‘beautiful,’ but they’re not alone, people in New York, California, Kentucky, and Ohio also struggled with spelling ‘beautiful.’

Other common searches include supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, pneumonia, maintenance, and tomorrow.

Google Trends states that the searches were tracked between January 1 and April 30, 2017.
