Duluth Airshow 2017 Kicks Off
The Blue Angels Headlined This Year
DULUTH, Minn.- Thousands of Aviation lovers watched in awe as planes twirled and zipped through the air for Minnesota’s Greatest Air show.
“It was fun seeing the parachutes I mean I’ve never actually seen the act before so it was fun seeing them rotate in the air,” said Sam Thompson, an attendee.
The show usually happens every other year, but this year, Duluth was treated with another show, despite having one last year.
Though there are different types of aircraft at the airshow, the crowd favorite is the Blue Angels.
But the Airshow isn’t just about America, or planes. The Canadian Forces Skyhawks, a skydiving team, made an appearance again this year, impressing the crowds with their acrobatics in the air.
“We had good canopies in the air, and the crowd really seemed to like it,” said Zacharry Jacob, the Public Relations Manager for the Skyhawks.
Air Show officials announced there will be another Airshow in 2018 on July 7-8. The Thunderbirds will be headlining.
