ATV Roll-Over Accident Leaves Sturgeon Lake Man Dead

Happened at Degerstrom Road and Cane Creek Road in Finlayson

FINLAYSON, Minn. – A man is dead after an ATV accident in Finlayson Township in Pine County, Minnesota.

The Pine County Sheriff’s Department responded to the report of an ATV accident on Cane Creek Road on Saturday, June 3 around 1:30 p.m.

Callers reported an ATV had rolled over and the driver with injuries to his head. Additional information prior to first responders arriving stated that the driver was not breathing and a nurse was on scene performing CPR, according to a Pine County Sheriff’s Office release.

When first responders arrived, the driver was pronounced dead on scene.

Witnesses reported the ATV left the road was as it making the corner at Degerstrom Rd and Cane Creek Rd., according to authorities.

The driver has been identified as 38-year-old Patrick Auger of Sturgeon Lake.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
