Duluth Public Library Kicks Off Summer Reading Program

The Program is Also Open to Adults

DULUTH, Minn.- The Duluth Library kicked off their summer reading program, Monday.

The program encourages kids to read by giving them small prizes for logging reading hours. Once a child logs 20 hours of reading time, they also get a book of their choice. But the program isn’t just for kids. Adults can also join the reading program and win prizes.

“Reading well it’s fun for one thing. It also helps us learn, no matter what age you are, you can learn things from reading. And it’s just a great way to spend some time during the warm summer months,” said Carla Powers, the Library Manager for the Duluth Public Library.
