Evolving Newspaper Industry Forces DNT To Search For New Headquarters
DULUTH, Minn. – The changing newspaper industry has forced the Duluth News Tribune to put its building up for sale. But the DNT reports the future is bright as the paper nears its150th birthday.
According to the DNT, the current building on the 400 block of West First Street has too much empty space after the historic printing press was moved to a new $9 million facility on Airpark Boulevard.
In an article on the DNT’s website, Publisher Neal Ronquist says the paper is simply adjusting its physical footprint to meet the growing needs of the multi-platform media company it has become.
