DULUTH, Minn.- The Lake Superior Zoo is celebrating a very special day for one of their residents.
Fang, a Cotton-Top Tamarin turned 20 years old today. The zoo and visitors celebrated by signing a card for Fang, and coloring monkey inspired pictures. A pin badge with Fang’s photo on it was also available, with proceeds benefitting Tamarin conservation efforts in the rain forests of Columbia.
“We’re always trying to help people make connections with our animals, because the more you can connect with something the more you care about it and the more you might be inspired to help conserve that animal’s habitat in the wild,” said Emily Perala, the Lead Zoo Keeper at the Lake Superior Zoo.
