DTA reroutes downtown traffic during marathon

DTA announces changes for race day

DULUTH, Minn. –

The Duluth Transit Authority has special schedules set up for grandma’s Marathon. Downtown routes will detour during the race. Eastbound routes will be on second street. Westbound routes move to first street. DTA officials advise riders to make extra time to reach their destination.

“People should have a lot of patients on race day,” DTA general manager Dennis Jensen. “With all the traffic in town, lots of pedestrians. Watch out for runners and pedestrians, because they’re not always watching out.”

The Jefferson Lines will be picking up and dropping off passengers near the M&H gas station on 8th avenue.
