Deputies were called to the Kro-bar in Brule on Friday night just before midnight to the report of three people fighting. According to the release, the bartender called 911 stating one of the parties involved had went out to the parking lot and armed himself with a handgun. The bartender reported that all patrons were in the bar and that she had locked the door, leaving the suspect the only person in the parking lot.

Statements from witnesses, gathered by the Sheriff’s Department, states that two men were having a conversation at the bar, when a man, later identified as Sean Pierce, 45, of Oulu, approached

them. The confrontation became physical, and soon after Pierce left the bar, with the bartender following after he left his phone at the bar.

The bartender then states that she observed him taking out a handgun from the center console of his truck. She then returned to the bar and locked the door.

It was reported that a shot was heard, and Pierce pointed the weapon at the two individuals he had been fighting with earlier.

Pierce was taken into custody and charged with First Degree Reckless Endangerment. Additional charges were added prior to his court appearance Monday. A cash bail of $5,000 was ordered Monday afternoon in Douglas County Court.

He is due back in court on July 5.
