Winter Man Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison for Meth Trafficking
Investigation was conducted in 2016
SAWYER COUNTY, Wis. – A Winter man was sentenced in Sawyer County Circuit Court Thursday, for his involvement in a methamphetamine trafficking conspiracy in Sawyer County in 2016.
Fifty-three-year-old William Koch was sentenced to 15 years of confinement in prison and 13 years of extended supervision after his release, resulting in a total of 28 years.
Over 770 grams of meth was uncovered during an investigation by Law Enforcement.
The investigation was conducted by the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office, the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation, the Northwest Area Crime Unit/Washburn County Sheriff’s Office/Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office, and the FBI.
