Duluth Men Break Whiffle Ball World Record
They Played The Game For 26 Hours
DULUTH, Minn. – Ten Duluth–area men broke a Guinness World Record over the weekend.
Just after 6 p.m. on Saturday, the group named The All Timers set the record for the longest game of whiffle ball, playing 26 consecutive hours.
Tom Johnson organized the event after a failed attempt at the record two years ago due to rain.
The game was played in Johnson’s backyard, which he’s converted into his own whiffle ball field.
“If you love something, just go for it and have fun doing it,” said Johnson. “That’s what I say. We all love playing this game and we’re doing it for fun. Why not? I built this field just for that reason. To have fun. Be kids again.”
There was also a silent auction with all proceeds going to the Alzheimer’s Association.
