Duluth Man Arrested in Connection to Car Dealership Burglary

HERMANTOWN, Minn. – Hermantown Police responded to an alarm at a car dealership located in the 4700 block of Miller Trunk Highway around 5:30 a.m. Monday, according to the Hermantown Police Department.

When officers arrived on scene, they discovered forced entry into the business, but no one was located in the building during the search.

Investigators collected evidence, and found that a single male suspect was involved. An undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise was taken, along with a motor vehicle from the lot.

Officers tracked down the stolen vehicle to the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Duluth around 4:30 p.m. Duluth Police detained a lone male occupant in the stolen vehicle.

Hermantown officers arrived on scene and were able to identify the individual, as the male responsible for breaking into the car dealership.

The 30-year-old male, of Duluth was taken into custody. Names are withheld until formal charges are filed.
