Singer Visits East Students to Teach About Dangers of Drugs

DULUTH, Minn.-A singer-songwriter who has a checkered past, came to Duluth East today to teach a valuable lesson.
Mindy Davey is a recovering addict, now five years sober.
Today the singer told us the whole process of helping others has been life changing.
“You open yourself up,” Davey said. “It’s a blessing that I can open myself up and inspire people to get on their path to sobriety as well as just inspire people and give them hope.”
The singer tours schools across the country to teach them not to follow the pressures to use drugs.
