“Harmony” Forum Discusses Culture, Environmentalism
The panelists included people from a variety of faith backgrounds
DULUTH, Minn. – A community discussion was held at the College of St. Scholastica on Sunday, about how humanity relates to the environment.
The panelists were gathered from a variety of faith–based backgrounds, and they discussed the connections between cultures and the natural world, as well as ways to keep the environment healthy.
“Our goal is to try to build an atmosphere of respect and understanding,” organizer Elyse Carter Vosen said. “Really listening, and truly asking thoughtful questions, and trying to lift up voices that are sometimes not heard.”
The event included performances from area artists. They plan to hold another discussion in April.
