Kestrel’s Parent Company Announces Job Losses in Superior
Group Owes $6 Million to State and City
SUPERIOR, Wis.-Kestrel Aircraft’s plans for a manufacturing plant in Superior have taken another step backwards.
The company’s parent company One Aviation has announced some layoffs at their offices in Superior.
The company would not say how many people have lost their jobs, but they told us today that they are planning on working on a new aircraft and phasing out production of another one, which lead to the job loss.
Earlier this month it was announced a planned production plant for Kestrel may not happen, along with the 650 jobs with it.
The group owes about $6 million between loans from the city of Superior and the state of Wisconsin.
Right now, the state is moving forward with legal action against the business.
