School Bus Accident in Superior
SUPERIOR, Wis. – Just before 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, the Superior Police Department responded to a vehicle and school bus crash on Broadway Street and Banks Avenue, according to Superior PD.
Police report that a blue Subaru was traveling southbound on Banks Ave and failed to stop for the sign at the intersection. The vehicle then collided with the side of the school bus that was traveling eastbound. Superior Police tell FOX 21 that approximately 12 passengers were on the bus and were headed to school.
No serious injuries were reported at the scene, though one 32-year-old female and one 5-year-old from the bus were transported to the hospital as a precautionary measure. Their condition is not known at this time.
The Subaru driver was cited for Failure to Stop at Stop Sign, according to Superior Police.
