Bars open early for Vikings fans

Bars were able to open one hour early to accommodate the 8:30 a.m. kick-off.

DULUTH, Minn. –  Fans of the Minnesota Vikings made the early morning trek to their favorite bar to catch that 8:30 a.m. kickoff Sunday morning.

With the Vikings playing the Cleveland Browns in London, England, the time difference made for an early start to football Sunday. Thanks to a state exemption, made only for today, bars in St. Louis county were able to open their doors an hour earlier. Despite the early rise, vikings fans there were having a great time.

“We got here a little bit late, we had to go sit with people we didn’t know, which was alright, we’re having some fun,” one Vikings fan said.
