Three Dead in Suspected Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
RADISSON, Wis. – The Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office reports two adults and one child are dead after possible carbon monoxide poisoning.
Deputies responded to the call on Sunday, Oct. 29 just before 11:30 a.m., at the report of three unresponsive people at a residence located on Highway 27/70 in Radisson.
First responders arrived to find the three victims, who have been identified as Steven Ryan, 61, Carolyn Rindahl, 60, both of Radisson, and their 4-year-old grandson. The three of them showed signs of CO poisoning, according to authorities.
Carbon monoxide was later found to be present inside the residence and believed to have been from an improperly installed furnace at the residence. Authorities continue to investigate this incident, pending toxicology results.
