Multiple Fires Put Out in Winter Last Week
No One Was Injured

SAWYER COUNTY, Wis.-Fire crews in Sawyer County responded to multiple fires last week that left no one injured.
The first fire was reported about 8 a.m. Thursday at a silo at 5735 North County Highway West in Winter.
The silo was being demolished at the time and it’s believed the cause of the fire was a cutting torch that ignited material in the silo.
At about 5 p.m. Friday, crews responded to a house fire at 5272 West Tower Road in Winter. When first responders arrived, they found the home fully engulfed and was deemed a total loss.
The house was occupied at the time, but all left in time so that no one was injured. The cause of this fire remains under investigation.
