Body Found Off Maintenance Road in Nashwauk

Body is of 24-Year-Old Curtis Strand Who Had Been Missing

NASHWAUK, Minn.-A body discovered in a snow-covered ditch off a maintenance road near the Essar Steel mining property in Nashwauk, has been identified as a Hibbing man who went missing several weeks ago.

Curtis Strand’s, 24, body has been taken to the Midwest County Medical Examiner’s Office for examination. It does not appear foul play was a factor in his death.

The cause of death is still under investigation.
