Suspect Charged For His Alleged Role in the Shooting Death of Cass Lake Woman
25-Year-Old Woman Found With Gunshot Wound to Head
UPDATE: The Cass County Attorney’s Office has announced the the 24-year-old male, who has been identified as Brandon Joseph Roy has been charged for his alleged role in the death of a 25-year-old Cass Lake woman.
Roy has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder without Intent while Committing a Felony, 1st Degree Aggravated Robbery, Convicted Delinquent in Possession of a Firearm.
Judge Earl Maus set bail at $1 million with numerous conditions
Roy is due back in court on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 1;30 p.m.
The criminal investigation is being conducted by officers, agents, and investigators of the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, the Leech Lake Tribal police, the Minnesota BCA, and othe rarea law enforcement agencies.

INITIAL REPORT Nov. 13, 2017:
CASS LAKE, Minn.-Authorities in the Cass Lake area are saying a 25-year-old woman was murdered Sunday in a residence there.
Police responded to a home in that region at 8 a.m. where they located the woman with a gunshot wound to the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 24-year-old Cass Lake man was taken into custody for his alleged role in her death.
The identity of the woman is being withheld until family members are notified.
As part of the investigation, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating three individuals in regards to this case. Anthony John Larose, 28; Sara Renae Larose, 41; and Ileisha Lynee Guinn, 25, all of the Cass Lake area (pictured below).
