New Housing Project Coming to Morgan Park

Project Will Replace Morgan Park Middle School, Which Will be Torn Down

DULUTH, Minn.- A groundbreaking will be held at Morgan Park Middle School at 12 p.m. Monday for a new housing project there.

The old building will be torn down to make way for the project that will have 96 two-bedroom units coming in at a total cost of nearly $18 million.

The Duluth Planning Commission approved the final site plan last night.

The demolition project is expected to be completed by the end of December. Construction could then begin as soon as January.

The organizations involved in the project include Zenith Property Management LLC, AHMC Properties, and Pre/3 Development.
