Give to the Max Day Raises $20.6 Million for Minnesota Organizations

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota set a new record during the state’s annual giving holiday.

Roughly 5,400 nonprofits and schools across the state raised $20.6 million during the ninth annual Give to the Max Day. The day’s total was approximately $500,000 higher than the previous record set in 2016.

Donations were made from 87 Minnesota counties, all 50 states, and nearly 50 countries around the world.

Throughout the day, nonprofits and schools were in competition for more than $120,000 in prizes, as well as challenging donors to help them win Leaderboard grants.

Preliminary results of the organizations who raised the most money show the following on top of the Leaderboards in the following categories:

  • Large Organization: Second Harvest Heartland
  • Intermediate Organizations: Gilda’s Club Twin Cities
  • Medium Organizations: Newman Catholic Campus Ministries at UMD
  • Small Organizations: Nathan Hale PTA
  • Colleges & Universities: Augsburg University
