Semi Crashes into Iron River Home

Driver of Semi Taken to Hospital With Non-Life Threatening Injuries

IRON RIVER, Wis.-A semi crashed into a home on U.S. Highway 2 near District Avenue at 8:55 a.m. today leaving the driver of the vehicle with non-life threatening injuries.

The person who lived in the home was there, but was not injured, as they were in a backroom of the home at the time of the incident.

The driver, 46-year-old Jason Murray, of Bruce, Wis. was taken to a Duluth Hospital.

The crash is still being investigated by the Wisconsin State Patrol, but the driver has been cited for operating left of center. According to the patrol, he crossed the eastbound lane and drifted off the roadway.

Road conditions do not appear to be a factor in the incident.
