Transmission Line Repairs May Cause Outages for Some Lake Country Power Members

GRAND RAPIDS, Minn.-Lake Country Power is making emergency repairs to a transmission line going into its Cedar Valley substation, which could cause power outages for members from Floodwood to Jacobson.

“Lake Country Power will re-route electric service in the area in an effort to prevent service interruption while crews from Minnesota Power, the transmission line owner, oversee emergency repairs,” Lake Country Power said in a statement. “The two utilities are working together to minimize disruption for co-op members, however there could be outages this evening for more than 1,500 LCP members.”
