More Than 100 From 148th Fighter Wing Deploy to Middle East, Among Other Regions

148th Going to Europe, Africa, and Middle East

DULUTH, Minn.-More than 100 airmen of the 148th Fighter Wing in Duluth have now been deployed throughout the Middle East, Europe, and African regions.

The deployment was all part of various programs including Operation Inherent Resolve and Operation Freedom Sentinel.

“It is an honor to support our military partners in mission support against any potential threats,” said Col. Chris Blomquist of the 148th. “Our thoughts are

with our deployed members and their families, as they are the true heroes. On the home-front the 148th continues to prepare and is always ready and capable to serve our nation and community at a moment’s notice.”

Members have been departing every month since October of 2017.
