Hibbing Police Investigating Alleged Armed Robbery
There Were no Injuries or Threat to the Community
HIBBING, Minn. – Three individuals have been taken into custody following an armed robbery of a female in the 800 block of East 41st Street in Hibbing.
Authorities were dispatched to the scene on Wednesday afternoon where the victim stated she arrived at an apartment to meet a female acquaintance.
According the victim while she was at the apartment three masked men appeared from the back of the apartment, pointed handguns at her and demanded money.
The victim states she told them she did not have any money and the acquaintance then took her cell phone.
The victim was able to leave the apartment and then called 911.
Authorities say through the information provided from the victim and subsequent traffic stops they located three suspects and took them into custody.
There were no injuries in connection to this incident and no threat to the community.
The incident remains under investigation.
