Home Explosion in Cable Injures two

The Cause of the Fire is Still Undetermined

CABLE, Wis. – According to the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Office, a home explosion in Cable has left two residents with severe burns and other injuries.

Thursday evening a neighbor of the residents reported a home explosion at 45975 S. Lake Owen Drive in the Township of Cable.

The neighbor, Lee Wald, was able to help get one victim, Raymond Reidl, to safety.

The second victim, Joyce Reidl, was trapped in the home by debris but was later rescued by fire personnel.

Both victims were transported to the Hennepin County Hospital for further treatment of their injuries.

Officials are still investigating the explosion.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
