Bulldogs Women’s Hockey Host Third-Ranked Eagles for Home Opener

The UMD women's hockey team will open their season with a tough test.

DULUTH, Minn. – The regular season has finally arrived for the UMD women’s hockey team. And the Bulldogs are going to be tested right out of the gate.

UMD will be taking on third–ranked Boston College this upcoming weekend at Amsoil Arena. The Eagles feature three Olympians on their roster, giving the Bulldogs great competition to start off their season.

“Every weekend is really big. Every non-conference series feels even bigger because we want to make a statement obviously nationally. As we all know, those Pairwise points are really big. This isn’t just getting our feet wet. That’s what last weekend was. Now we’re right into it. It would be great to get some wins this weekend of course,” said head coach Maura Crowell.

Puck drops just after 7 o’clock Friday night. Game two of the series will be Saturday at 4 p.m.
