Duluth man Receives Felony Charges for Duluth International Airport Incident

DULUTH, Minn. – The 36-year-old Duluth man who crashed his vehicle through one of the gates at the Duluth International Airport last week has been charged with two felonies.
Christopher Lee Dunker has been charged with first-degree damage to property, felony fleeing police in a motor vehicle, and fourth degree driving while impaired.
According to the criminal complaint, Dunker crashed his SUV through a gate at the DIA and drove on the runway.
Dunkers refused to pull over for officers and ultimately was forced off of the runway by a Hermantown Police Officer cruise
Officers noted that Dunker had glossy and constricted pupils and was unable to maintain his balance.
He later indicated to police that he had taken methamphetamine at about 5:30 a.m. that morning and was intending on killing himself at the airport.
Dunkers next court date will be on December 18.
