County Settles for $28,000 in Stauber Email Case
The Board Approved the Settlement in a 6-0 Vote

DULUTH, Minn. – In a 6-0 vote the St. Louis County Board has agreed to pay $28,000 to settle a lawsuit filed by the state DFL party.
The lawsuit was originally filed last October by the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party for the release of emails between Pete Stauber and the National Republican Campaign Committee.
District Judge Stoney Hiljus ruled in October that the county needed to release the series of emails along with a bond of $1,000.
According to the board, approving the settlement will resolve the possibility of any future litigation issues.
