Minneapolis man Accused of Killing Neighbor, Adult Daughter

The Suspected Weapon was Found in Trash bag

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) – A Minneapolis man is charged with fatally shooting his neighbor and her adult daughter following an argument last weekend.

Forty-six-year-old Richie Vessel faces two counts of second-degree murder with intent in the deaths of Eileen Mark and Jennifer Angerhofer.

A criminal complaint says a witness told police he heard loud music, an argument and then the gunshots that killed the two women inside Mark’s apartment. Vessel lived across the hall.

Authorities say the 67-year-old mother died of a gunshot wound to the chest. Her 42-year-old daughter, from Coon Rapids, was shot in the face late Saturday night.

Police say they found a trash bag in the apartment complex’s trash bin that contained the suspected weapon. It was not immediately clear if Vessel has an attorney who could speak on his behalf.
