Man Killed in Pequaywan Township ATV crash

The Crash Remains Under Investigation

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Minn. – A 25-year-old Two Harbors man died Sunday after an ATV rollover near Pequaywan Lake Road.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to a call of an ATV rollover on Rossini Road where a male, later identified as Spencer Sande, suffered substantial injuries.

Lifesaving efforts were attempted by first responders, however Sande was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say Sande was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

According to authorities, alcohol and speed appear to be factors in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
