Multiple Crews Respond to Water Emergency Near Spirit Lake Marina

DULUTH, Minn. – Multiple crews responded to a water emergency near the Spirit Lake Marina and Campground on the St. Louis River Monday afternoon.

According to a city spokesperson, rescue efforts began around 2:30 p.m.

Authorities say a man and woman were canoeing near the marina when the male fell out of the canoe.

The male was found safely on Clough Island and was brought to shore.

Ambulance personnel say both the canoeists are doing well.
