UMD Offensive Line Keeping Pocket Clean for QB Larson
The Bulldogs have allowed just one sack through three games.
DULUTH, Minn. – The UMD football team came into the season with a lot of question marks up front. But through the first three games they have only give up one sack. And with how the offense is designed that’s good news for quarterback John Larson.
“It’s a been a good start to the year that’s for sure. We came into this year not knowing what to expect. We graduated four seniors last year. This is a new group together. Obviously they’re comfortable playing with each other,” Larson said.
“John Larson is going to be a huge key for our whole offense. It’s just playing through the whistle. All five of us know that he’s the biggest part of our offense so if we play hard through the whistle and make sure that we don’t allow him to get hit, we’ll be doing good all season I think,” said offensive lineman Brent Laing.
Next up for the 3–0 Bulldogs is a road trip to take on rivals Bemidji State, who are also 3–0.
