DULUTH, Minn – Duluth’s single-use bag ordinance is taking affect on April 1st.

In response, marketing and advertising agency swim creative designed what they call the incredible grocery bag.

It’s an all-cotton bag the company hopes consumers will use to break their dependence on one-time use bags that can be harmful to the environment.

Consumers who don’t bring reusable bags to stores in Duluth starting next month will have to pay a five-cent fee for each single-use bag they need.

“Here in Duluth we have the beautiful Lake Superior right by us, the Duluth community is such a big adventurous outdoor community that it’s important to help protect our environment as much as possible and a reusable bag is a simple way to help do that,” said Savanna Ellena, Content Strategist at Swim Creative.

If you want a free reusable bag, Swim Creative is handing out 100 of them at their office on 310 East Superior Street Suite 220 during office hours.

They are also accepting donations for the Second Harvest Northern Lakes food bank.
