Top Seed DeLaSalle Too Much for Hermantown Girls Basketball Team

The Hawks will play in the consolation bracket tomorrow afternoon.

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Junior Elly Schmitz finished with 16 points, but it wouldn’t be enough as the Hermantown girls basketball team fell to top seed DeLaSalle 85-52 Wednesday morning in the Class AAA state quarterfinals.

Senior Ava Asgaard chipped in with 15 points. The Hawks move on to the consolation bracket as they will face Holy Angels Thursday at 2 p.m. at Concordia University.
