Friday the 13th Event Breaks Superstitions

Today is Friday the 13th ,a perfect day to break some superstitions

DULUTH, Minn. – One Northland resident put those superstitions to the test, giving Northlanders the chance to smash mirrors, throw salt over their shoulders and walk under ladders during this special Friday the 13th event at the Radisson.

The presentations showed that while superstitions are fun, they shouldn’t be taken literally.

“We want to celebrate our reliance on science nowadays and while we play with superstitions for fun, we don’t really believe them and that’s what we want to say,” said Jim Lyttle, organizer of Friday the 13th event.
