Nutrition Bars Donated to Healthcare Workers
Cliff Bars is partnering with Grandma's Marathon to give back to healthcare workers.
DULUTH, Minn. – Cliff Bars partnered with Grandma’s Marathon to give back to healthcare workers.
Throughout the country, Cliff Bars has been reaching out to a variety of special events that they typically support. However, because of the coronavirus, those events have been canceled.
But, they are giving away millions of Cliff Bars to multiple organizations, including right here in Duluth, where Cliff’s donated thousands of bars to emergency responders.
“One of the things that we’ve gotta make sure to remind them is to eat and make sure that they have nutrition,” said Greg Haapala, Race Director for Grandma’s Marathon. “Cliff Bars produces a healthy product, that’s something they can have on the go, and hopefully get them going strong.”
The 20,000 bars that were donated will go to St. Luke’s, Essentia, and 25 small emergency organizations including ambulance providers and volunteer fire departments.
