Canal Park Grandma’s Saloon & Grill Partially Closing After Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19
DULUTH, Minn. – Grandma’s Saloon & Grill in Canal Park announced on Friday morning that they will be partially closing after an employee recently tested positive for COVID-19.
The restaurant made the announcement on its Facebook page writing, “Starting today, we will be temporarily closing our downstairs Grandma’s Saloon & Grill restaurant and kitchens at our Canal Park location due to an employee testing positive for COVID. Our thoughts are with them at this time. During this closure, we will be asking all employees who have had close contact with this employee to self-quarantine for 14 days at the direction of the Minnesota Department of Health.”
The restaurant says the upstairs Pub & Patio will remain open because it has a separate kitchen and staff, however, take-out at the Canal Park location has also been suspended.
Grandma’s Saloon & Grill say they have taken many steps to ensure the health and safety of their employees and patrons and they will continue to be vigilant with cleaning and sanitation practices moving forward.
