ST. PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota health officials reported 189,681 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state Tuesday morning and 23 new deaths bringing the death total to 2,698 in Minnesota.

According to the Minnesota Department of Health website, 3,179,872 tests have been completed to date.

There are 153,347 patients who no longer require isolation.

So far, 11,933 patients have required hospitalization and 2,996 cases have been hospitalized in ICU.

Itasca: 1,108 – 18 deaths
Koochiching: 221 – 5 deaths
Lake: 189
St. Louis: 4,467 – 77 deaths
Ashland: 429 – 5 deaths
Bayfield: 431 – 3 deaths
Douglas: 1,097 – 1 death
Iron: 274 – 5 deaths
Sawyer: 530 – 4 deaths
Gogebic: 421 – 7 deaths

As of Tuesday morning, Wisconsin health officials reported 278,843 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services also reported 2,395 deaths.

Health officials say the real number of Minnesotans infected with the coronavirus is likely much higher because most people did not originally qualify for testing, and studies suggest that people can be infected without feeling sick.
