UMD Men’s Hockey Announces Changes to Upcoming Schedule

The Bulldogs' games this upcoming weekend against St. Cloud State will no longer be a home-and-home series as both games will now take place at the Herb Brooks Arena.

DULUTH, Minn. – Monday, the NCHC announced changes that are being made to the second-half schedule, which impacts the UMD men’s hockey team.

The Bulldogs’ games this upcoming weekend against St. Cloud State will no longer be a home-and-home series as both games will now take place at the Herb Brooks Arena. It will also be a Saturday-Sunday series rather than the typical Friday-Saturday. As of now, next weekend’s series against the Huskies will be at Amsoil Arena and will serve as UMD’s first home games since March 7th. The Bulldogs’ opponent that night? St. Cloud State.

The NCHC also announced that UMD’s two three-game series against Western Michigan have been changed to two-game series to mitigate the risk of travel during the pandemic. The games, which were slated for Jan. 21-24 and Feb. 11-14, will now be played as two-game series on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 22-23 and Friday and Saturday, Feb. 12-13.
