Updated COVID-19 Numbers: Monday, February 1
ST. PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota health officials reported 727 new cases of COVID-19 in Minnesota on Monday morning bringing the total confirmed COVID cases to 462,528 in the state.
Health officials also reported 2 news deaths bringing the death total to 6,202 in Minnesota.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health website, 6,597,842 tests have been completed to date.
There are 447,420 patients who no longer require isolation.
So far, 24,352 patients have required hospitalization and 5,045 cases have been hospitalized in ICU.

Carlton: 2,900 – 43 deaths
Cook: 117
Itasca: 2,916 – 44 deaths
Koochiching: 612 – 11 deaths
Lake: 675 – 16 deaths
St. Louis: 14,233 – 254 deaths
Ashland: 1,146 – 16 deaths
Bayfield: 1,035 – 18 deaths
Douglas: 3,552 – 18 deaths
Iron: 476 – 19 deaths
Sawyer: 1,416 – 17 deaths
Gogebic: 849 – 17 deaths
As of Monday morning, Wisconsin health officials reported 542,415 cases of COVID-19 in the state.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services also reported 5,896 deaths.
Health officials say the real number of Minnesotans infected with the coronavirus is likely much higher because most people did not originally qualify for testing, and studies suggest that people can be infected without feeling sick.
