Additional Cold Front Event Postponements Announced Due to Cold Temps
DULUTH, Minn. – Cold Front activities are being postponed once again due to extremely cold weather.
According to a Tuesday press release from the city, the revised schedule of events is as follows:
- Yeti Hunt: Saturday/Sunday, Feb. 20-21 and Saturday/Sunday, Feb. 27-28.
Clues released hourly on Facebook and Instagram (@DuluthParksMN) at 10 a.m - Luminary Walk: Thursday, February 18: 5-8 p.m. on the Lakewalk
- Bae-Front Valentine’s Skate: Friday, February 26 : 3-7 p.m at the Bayfront ice rink.
- Agents of Discovery: An exciting new way to experience Duluth’s parks is coming soon! Agents of Discovery, an educational mobile game app, will turn different parks into fun, safe learning opportunities with detective Missions for you to complete. Become nature detectives as you learn about Duluth and the world around you in this new opportunity. More information coming from Parks &Recreation soon.
- Snowshoe Pop-Ups: A chance to try snowshoeing is coming to your neighborhood! Throughout February, Parks &Recreation will be providing free opportunities to try snowshoeing at different parks and trailheads across town. At these events, you can check out snowshoes for free, explore the park or trail on your own, then return the equipment to on-site Parks staff. Locations will be announced ahead of each Pop-Up. Here are the upcoming dates:
- Tuesday, February 16: 3-5 p.m
- Wednesday, February 24: 3-5 p.m.
- Saturday, February 27: 9-11 a.m.
- Sunday, February 28: 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Story Stroll led by the Duluth Public Library: Friday, February 26: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Lincoln Park
