International Women’s Day Gives Reason to Celebrate Women in Business

DULUTH, Minn. – Today is International Women’s Day and people throughout the country are celebrating the importance of women-led organizations.
Reimagined by T. Underwood is a women-led business in Duluth, which sells things like paint, DIY projects and plants. The business is also run as a creative co-op, which means they sell products from other shops, which are mainly owned by women.
“I think in Duluth, there is a local business community that’s very supportive of each other and the owners and also the residents, but I think through the pandemic, I think there was a much higher conscious level of trying to keep your money within your community,” said Tammy Clore, the owner of Reimagined by T. Underwood.
Store owners say they have struggled due to the pandemic and a truck crashing into their building in recent months, but now they are seeing an uptick in foot traffic after reconstruction of the store was completed.
