New COVID Vaccination Site Opens in Eveleth

EVELETH, Minn.- A new vaccination clinic has opened on the Iron Range.

Scenic Rivers Health Services opened their vaccination site about two weeks ago in Eveleth.

The goal of the clinic is to serve the underprivileged and uninsured, but they say the vaccination clinic is open to everyone.

They’ve even seen people come as far away as Minneapolis to get the shot there, due to a lack of availability in more urban areas.

“People are really surprised by the quickness of the vaccinations, especially if you are coming from an urban area where you have to wait weeks to months to get a vaccine, so we’re really excited about what we’re able to offer,” said Hanna Olson, a physician assistant at the site.

Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Currently they are offering the Moderna vaccine for those 18 and older.
