Local Flower Shops Busy with Last Minute Valentine’s Day Shoppers

For "Artistic Florals by Leslie" on Tower Avenue, this is the busiest day of the season, with plenty coming in for last-minute flowers.

SUPERIOR, Wis.- Even though Valentine’s Day is today some flower shops are still busy helping people get the perfect bouquet for their “boos.”

For “Artistic Florals by Leslie” on Tower Avenue, this is the busiest day of the season, with plenty coming in for last-minute flowers.

Owner Leslie Hietana said she’s seen supply chain issues impact some of the containers she uses, but in general, her inventory has been good this year.

Hietana said helping people find their perfect expression of love has kept her and her employees loving their job for the past 30 years.

“Women don’t get flowers every day but Valentine’s Day seems to be the biggest holiday where people get flowers not just women, grandmas, mothers, everyone,” said Hietana.

“And I figure it puts a smile on their face happy to receive them, it’s just a good day, it’s a feel-good day it’s a happy day,” she said.

If flowers aren’t on the list for your loved one, the shop also offers candy, balloons, and stuffed animals.
