NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – Former UMD defenseman Brenden Kotyk has been named interim head coach of the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL.
Monday morning, the team fired head coach Ryan Blair in the midst of one of the worst seasons in the franchise’s history. Kotyk joined the Stingrays last season after playing three years of pro hockey, which included stops in the AHL.
