Duluth Denfeld’s McClure Twins Sign with MJHL’s Winkler Flyers

DULUTH, Minn. – This week, Duluth Denfeld’s Cooper and Connor McClure will continue their hockey careers together as both signed with the Winkler Flyers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. Cooper wrapped up his prep career with 83 points, while Connor finished with 130 points.

“For a junior team to reach out to you with calls and zoom calls, not a lot of junior teams do that. Right when the pen touch the paper, I was shaking. I just couldn’t imagine us just like signing. It was definitely an unreal experience. Especially doing it with my brother, going the same team, it means so much,” said Cooper.

“There was a couple NAHL teams reaching out, but I think the main thing for us and just me personally was just we wanted to go together and experience junior life together. The fact that we can go six hours away and be together is just really cool,” Connor said.
