Barn Fire Kills 70 Sheep In Carlton County

THOMPSON TOWNSHIP, Minn. – The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office does not suspect foul play in a fire that killed 70 sheep in Thomson Township.

The fire was reported in a pole building around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday on the 300 block of Koski Road.

The property owner wasn’t home at the time to try to save the animals, according to authorities.

A cause is under investigation.
