Locally Owned Game Shop in Spirit Valley Neighborhood Closes It’s Doors After 12 Years
DULUTH, Minn.–One of the only stores in Duluth where you can find a wide variety of games, was open for business for the last time today.
Dungeon’s end over on Central Avenue has called the Spirit Valley neighborhood home for the past 12 years. Offering a place to shop for board games, fantasy card games, puzzles and more. The owner says it was fun to watch the different crazes over the years, like Pokemon, and how younger generations would get excited about it.
Owner, Mason Froberg, told us, “To the people who played cards, we were a card shop. And they had an opportunity to come and meet new people and find people to play with. The kids who play Pokemon kind of the same thing. Kids would learn to read and grow up in our store. Being knee high and now I’m almost knee high to them”.
The owner say’s he’s looking to potentially open up a shop out West with more gifts rather than games.
As for what will take over the space on Central Avenue, that is yet to be seen.
